The banquet began with an invocation
by Tim Oravec. Re-elected President Carolyn Federoff thanked the members of the
Convention Committee, Credentials Committee and Election Committee for their
hard work.
President Federoff gave a short speech on "the next three
years" and then recognized two individuals for their many years of
service.
Cliff Barnhill, Local 476 (DC) served as Council Executive Vice
President. Sherry Norton, President of Local 3412 (Jacksonville and Orlando)
served as Council Secretary. Both chose not to run in this years
election.
We were fortunate enough to have the services of AFGE National
President Bobby Harnage for the swearing in of officers (see picture below, see
names of officers on the about us page).
